App Description

The City of Winnipeg Lane Closure app for mobile devices is intended specifically for use by registered construction agencies, not the general public, to submit requests to the City for required street and sidewalk closures in the public right-of-way. The app also allows construction agency to manage all the details of a requested closure throughout its duration. When logged into the app, a construction agency user can submit new requests, request changes to existing closures, and mark closures as open, closed, or complete, in real time. This app is a mobile version of the web-based version at https://laneclosures.winnipeg.ca/login. Information from this app is linked to the public-facing lane closure webmap at https://winnipeg.ca/publicworks/trafficcontrol/laneclosures/LaneClosuresMap.asp. Through this app, the impacts of the closure to Winnipeg Parking Authority, Winnipeg Transit, and Public Works will be identified, and the appropriate contacts will be alerted automatically to ensure that all stakeholders are aware of the requirements, and current status of the closure.
