App Description

The Well Aware App gives well users the tools to confidently test their water for lead, microbial, and Arsenic contamination.

This innovative at-home microbe and lead testing platform was developed for use with well water. Using our machine learning and color analysis algorithms, the app can read and explain results from a lead testing strip, microbe (E. coli) test kit, and arsenic test kit.

Features:
-No registration required
-By default, all data remains private and only on your phone
-Scan lead test strips and microbe test kit to get results in a format that’s easy to understand
-Get connected to local resources for additional testing and treatment
-Participate in a voluntary Citizen Science campaign to help improve water quality testing across the United States
-Water test history
-Complete instructions for test kits

Important Notice Regarding Test Kit Recommendations: This app is meant for use only with the Lamotte Lead Testing strip and the Aquagenx Compartment Bag Test. These tests are not available for individual purchase from the manufacturer. However, we are able to send users individual test kits thanks to our partnerships with the manufacturers.

Developed through a partnership between researchers at UNC Chapel Hill and CrossComm, Inc.
