BMI (Body Mass Index) is a simple calculator that can help you understand your health by using a simple metric that has been used for decades to estimate your weight/height ratio. With a BMI calculator, one can easily estimate which type of proper diet he or she requires. BMI is the first metric to use when determining whether you are underweight or obese.
How does the BMI – Weight Tracker function?
After installing the BMI-weight tracker and entering your weight and height, the user's BMI is calculated with a few clicks. The calculation categorizes a person based on the Harvard BMI classification, in which a person with a BMI less than 18.5 is classified as underweight, a person with a BMI between 18.5 and 24.9 is classified as Normal Weight, a person with a BMI between 25.0 and 29.0 is classified as pre-obese, and a person with a BMI of 30 or more is classified as obese.
This BMI calculator app displays a very interactive needle chart that assesses your health using BMI classification and provides you with an indicator of where you stand in terms of your weight.
What is BMI-Weight Tracker intended for?
Any individual who wants to assess his or her health status can use the BMI-Weight tracker. The App is intended for medical professionals such as nurses, doctors, pharmacists, and other allied health care partners who visit patients on a regular basis and calculate the BMI for each pre-assessment. Given that not all calculators easily provide a square function in a divisible mode, which is required for BMI calculation, this app simplifies their lives and assists them in their work. In a matter of minutes, the patient's assessment can be completed for BMI calculation.
High BMI levels can be an indicator of high-fat content in the body and provide an indication for a more accurate future assessment.
How does this app compute BMI?
BMI is calculated using the standard method, which divides a person's weight by the square of their height. The user simply enters the weight and height of the person whose BMI is being calculated, and a mathematically error-free BMI is calculated. The patient's weight is normally aligned with its height, and the results are presented in a separate window for BMI calculation, with the results classified as underweight, normal weight, pre-obese, or obese.
