Multi-factor authentication with time-based one-time passwords (TOTP) guarantees access to your account for only verified parties whatever service you use, Facebook, Google, GitHub, Sony PlayStation, or Steam. This mobile app generates time-based one-time passwords that are more secure than event-based ones and widely used in creating security keys for multi-factor or two-factor authentication.
WHAT IS TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION (TFA)
Two-factor authentication is a security method that requires two separate forms of identification to access your account: something you know (your password) and something you have (a special code from the TFA app on your trusted device). For instance, even if hackers get your password they will not be able to get access to your Binance or Amazon account as they will not have the secret code from Authenticator Mobile App.
HOW THE AUTHENTICATOR APP WORKS
When you activate the TFA in any service, you can add KeepSolid Authenticator as a second authentication factor. For example, after you add your Instagram or Facebook account to the Authenticator app, it will generate a time-based one-time password that you can use to confirm that it's you logging in to a website or service.
