App Description
Revise for TfL's London licensing assessments: the SERU assessment for private hire (PHV) or taxi (black cab) drivers, and the Topographical Skills assessment for private hire drivers. Pick your route and every question, practice paper and reference card follows it.
THREE ROUTES, ONE APP
• PHV SERU: 320 questions for London private hire drivers
• Taxi SERU: 270 questions for London taxi drivers, who now sit their own SERU assessment
• Topographical Skills: 290 map and route questions for private hire applicants
• Switch route at any time in Settings. Each route keeps its own progress
• One purchase covers all three routes
590 SERU QUESTIONS, EVERY ANSWER EXPLAINED
Every question is written in our own words and checked against TfL's published driver handbooks. Each explanation tells you why the answer is right and names the handbook section it comes from, so you can find it again.
• Every handbook topic, from licensing and journeys to safeguarding, equality and safer driving
• Single-answer and "mark two answers" questions, so you are ready for both styles
FIND IT IN THE HANDBOOK
SERU is open book. These drills train you to find the right handbook section fast.
TIMED PRACTICE PAPERS
• SERU: 36 questions in about an hour, 60% (22 of 36) to pass. TfL publishes this format for the taxi assessment; the PHV papers follow it
• Start one from the Mock Test tile, then review your answers and track your scores
QUICK REFERENCE
Short cards for your route: safeguarding, assistance dogs and wheelchairs, stopping and pick-ups, taxi fares, a glossary, and map symbols on the Topographical route.
TOPOGRAPHICAL SKILLS
Practise reading a London street map the way TfL's topographical assessment asks: find places and streets by grid square, read road numbers, give compass directions, know the map symbols, and choose the most direct legal route between two points, avoiding one-way streets, banned turns and closed roads.
• 100 maps drawn from OpenStreetMap data of real London streets
• Timed 24-question practice papers, 60% (15 of 24) to pass
• In the real assessment the three route questions are drawn on a map and marked by an assessor. This app cannot rehearse the drawing; its route questions train the same judgement as multiple choice
• Training providers report 24 questions in 70 minutes; TfL publishes only the pass mark
