Emanuel Leutze

Emanuel Leutze (1816-1868) was a German-American painter of the 19th century, primarily known for his historical and patriotic works. He is especially famous for his iconic painting titled "Washington Crossing the Delaware," which depicts General George Washington and his troops crossing the Delaware River during the American Revolutionary War.
