App Description
The Goodtimer app is the ideal companion to your Goodtimer 2 device, giving parents control to personalize and track positive behavior at home. Designed for kids ages 2+, the platform encourages children to build healthy habits through positive reinforcement and family participation. With the app, parents can customize house rules, adjust settings, and monitor progress, all in one place.
How It Works
Step 1: Set Up Your Goodtimer with the App.
Use the Goodtimer app to set up the device. Personalize house rules, token incentives, and other settings to match your child's needs and your family’s values. You can also read the Goodtimer children's story, which introduces "Good Time" and helpful tools for positive behavior.
Step 2: Earn and Monitor 'Good Time'.
When your child follows the house rules, their Goodtimer stays right-side-up, and they begin earning "Good Time." The soothing green glow and encouraging voice motivate good choices. Track their progress in real-time through the app, which shows earned "Good Time" and lit segments on the device. As your child improves, the app logs achievements and milestones, keeping you informed of their progress.
Step 3: Collect Tokens for Consistent Behavior.
Once all twelve segments are illuminated, your child earns a Goodtimer token, dispensed directly from the device. Goodtimer emphasizes consistent behavior over time. The app tracks tokens earned and suggests fun incentives based on your family's preferences.
Step 4: Pause 'Good Time' and Get Behavior-Specific Support.
If your child breaks a house rule, simply flip the Goodtimer over to pause "Good Time." The app will send a notification, prompting you to log the broken rule. It then provides behavior-specific, age-appropriate resources to help your child get back on track. This approach focuses on teaching better choices rather than punishment. Once your child makes amends, they can flip the Goodtimer back over and resume earning "Good Time."
