This app, curated by emergency and addiction physicians, is meant to educate the public and provide medically accurate, up-to-date information on opioid overdoses. It contains educational videos, graphics, and text that can guide you if an overdose is occurring before your very eyes. The information in this app can literally save a life! Moreover, the app has the ability for individuals to report overdoses and contribute to our understanding of overdose outcomes and contributing factors. OpiRescue provides information and a 5-step process for how to respond to an opioid overdose event. The guidelines that OpiRescue offers have been developed by the US Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
