Morpho: Word Game

Morpho is the game of finding beginnings and ends that words have in common. But in most of the puzzles, these beginnings/ends are not simple prefixes/suffixes! For instance, ”fossil”, “silver”, and “silence” have “sil” in common. But “sil” is not a typical prefix/suffix, as “fos”, “ver”, and “ence” are not words themselves.

Are you wondering where the name came from? “Morpho” is a genus of butterfly, the most recognizable of which is the morpho peleides. The words in Morpho are styled to bear a passing resemblance to this beautiful butterfly’s iridescent blue wings. Additionally, “morphology” can be the study of the forms of living organisms (in biology), or it can be the study of the forms of words (in linguistics). “Morpho” is a nod to all of these!

Morpho has:
+ 200 handcrafted puzzles
+ Common words that don’t require esoteric knowledge to be familiar with
+ The option to complete puzzles in any order
+ The option to skip or use hints for difficult puzzles

Morpho does not have:
- Timers or time limits (too stressful!)
- Ads (too annoying!)
