About GDS

The Ministry of Education (MoE), The Cooperative Republic of Guyana, has embarked on a groundbreaking project aimed at revolutionizing the educational landscape for students from Primary to Secondary levels. The Guyana Digital School (GDS) is an innovative educational initiative designed to deliver quality learning experiences to students from the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) across Grade 1 to Grade 11. Through a blend of online learning and access to digital classrooms, the program ensures equitable access to education, regardless of geographical or socio-economic challenges. GDS will leverage the power of online education to deliver the CXC curriculum followed in the Caribbean Community, with teaching facilitated by experienced educators from CARICOM and across the Globe.

In addition to delivering the standard curriculum, GDS introduces a suite of innovative enhancements designed to enrich the educational experience. These enhancements are crafted to foster interactive learning, personal growth and global awareness among students. By integrating technology, extra & co-curricular activities, and personalized learning approaches, GDS aims to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
