JLPT N4 Overview
The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N4 is the second level from the bottom in the five-tier JLPT system. It is designed for learners who have a basic understanding of Japanese and can engage in everyday conversations.

Test Structure

Language Knowledge (Vocabulary & Grammar)

Basic kanji (around 300 characters)

Who Should Take JLPT N4?
This level is suitable for learners who have completed beginner-level Japanese studies and want to progress to the intermediate level. It is ideal for those who have studied for about 300–600 hours.
