App Description
Scroll through Sir Alan Gardiner's renowned Middle Egyptian sign list to type hieroglyphs into your apps and documents. The keyboard shows the signs listed in Gardiner's "Egyptian Grammar", third edition. Your apps and documents should use a font with extended Unicode support such as Helvetica (Apple apps) or Segoe UI Historic (Microsoft 365 apps).
* Installing the Gardiner app also installs the hieroglyph keyboard, that you can then use with any app
* Scroll through sign categories A to Z and Aa
* Scroll through the signs within each category
* Quickly switch between one and five signs per column in the keyboard
* Typing a sign briefly displays its Gardiner code, for further study
* The keyboard also includes a qwerty layout with phonetic symbols and the 28 common Egyptian phonograms
* In case your app or document does not display the phonetic symbols correctly, press and hold to substitute an alternative Unicode symbol
