UNDERSEA

The UNDERSEA app supports marine conservation by tracking small vessels in real time during Noise Clean-up events in the Adriatic Sea. It uses continuous background location monitoring to collect accurate data essential for assessing underwater noise pollution. Users are clearly notified when background tracking is active. This app engages citizens and researchers by gathering vessel movement data that supports cross-border efforts to monitor, manage, and reduce human-generated underwater noise, promoting healthier marine ecosystems. The app respects your privacy and only uses location data to support these environmental goals. Funded by the Interreg Italy–Croatia program.
