Communities is a social network that will be a nonprofit, cooperative designed to help people connect, build community, and organize.

Funded by users. Governed by the people who use and build it.

No ads. No tracking. No algorithm deciding what you see.

Just friends and community.

Communities uses a friend model, rather than a follower model. It's a place to build connections with people you know, rather than build audiences.

It currently supports long-form posts with comments and reactions. Posts can have attached photos or links. They can be public and shareable or private to your friends only.

Communities also supports groups, both private and open, which can be used to organize your community.

Events, local feeds, tagging, videos and more are all on the way.
