DraftIQ is a live sports projection trading platform that lets fans trade on player stat projections instead of on binary over/under outcomes. This is a way, in my opinion, that prediction markets can distinguish themselves from sportsbooks.  For example, if a players’ “line” is set at 200 yards, a user should be rewarded more if the player ends up with 400 yards (double their initial projection) than if they end up with 201 yards. Similarly, if a player ends up with 199 yards, a user should not lose all their money. Rather than trading on over/under lines, users trade on the market's real-time estimate of a player’s final performance during a game. In the prior example, the user who entered “long” on a player when their projection was 200 and ended at 400, will get paid out 2x, or somewhat proportionally to how well the player’s projection is on the exit price relative to the price the user entered that. Player props are not a yes/no question; they encompass a very different question and require separate markets.
