"Enter weather conditions, find a match. Oklahoma State University Extension developed this app to support the prescribed fire community in planning and conducting safe, effective burns nationwide. Prescribed fire is a proven land management tool that strengthens land stewardship, reduces wildfire risk, and benefits wildlife and working lands. This app helps landowners, prescribed burn associations, agency personnel, and all fire practitioners monitor key burn prescriptions such as wind, temperature, and humidity and quickly determine when conditions align with safe prescribed fire objectives. By bringing trusted data and decision support tools into one easy-to-use platform, the Burn Planner App promotes collaboration, improves confidence, and helps put more good fire on the ground Safely and Responsibly.
