App Description
Ever stood in a grocery store, squinting at a tiny ingredient list, trying to figure out if that snack is actually vegan? Yeah, we've been there too. That's why we built this app.
WHAT WE DO
Take a photo of any ingredient label, and we'll tell you instantly if it's safe for your diet. No more googling "is E471 vegan?" in the middle of Whole Foods.
We spot the sneaky stuff other people miss - like whey hiding in your chips, gelatin in your candy, or casein in that "dairy-free" protein bar. Because let's be honest, food companies don't make it easy.
NOT JUST FOR VEGANS
We support six different diet profiles:
• Strict Vegan (zero animal products)
• Vegan with Honey (bee products okay)
• Vegetarian
• Lacto-Vegetarian (dairy okay)
• Ovo-Vegetarian (eggs okay)
• Pescatarian
Pick your profile, and we'll customize everything to match your diet.
WE CATCH THE HIDDEN STUFF
You know what's not fun? Realizing that "natural flavoring" in your favorite snack contains beaver secretions. (Yes, that's real. It's called castoreum.)
We flag all the hidden animal ingredients:
• Whey, casein, lactose (sneaky dairy)
• Gelatin (from animal bones)
• Carmine (crushed beetles)
• L-cysteine (sometimes from human hair, but usually feathers)
• Isinglass (fish bladder in some wines)
Plus dozens more you've probably never heard of.
WHAT YOU GET
• Clear GREEN/YELLOW/RED ratings
• Exactly which ingredients are problematic
• Why they're flagged for your diet
• Plant-based alternatives to try instead
• Full scan history (so you remember next time)
• Works with products from anywhere
PERFECT FOR
Anyone who's tired of:
• Reading ingredient lists with a magnifying glass
• Googling weird chemical names
• Accidentally buying something with milk powder
• Wondering if that wine is actually vegan
• Explaining to your friends what casein is
