Face Data Use, Sharing, and Retention

NeuroPortion uses face photos solely to generate wellness insights such as hydration, stress, sleep-related signals, and general portion guidance. When you choose to run a face scan, your photo is sent to OpenAI, a third-party AI service, to estimate these wellness signals.

• What face data is shared?
Only the face photo you submit during the scan.

• Why is it shared?
We share the photo with OpenAI because their model allows us to generate on-demand wellness signal estimates (e.g., hydration clues, fatigue indicators, stress-related facial tension, etc.) based on the image.

• Do third parties store this data?
OpenAI does not store your face photo or derived face data. Each image is processed once, in real time, and then discarded by OpenAI.

• How long is the face data retained?
NeuroPortion does not store your face photos on our servers. They are used only transiently during analysis and not retained. No biometric identifiers or templates are created.

• Who has access to the data?
Only OpenAI processes the photo for the purpose described above. Your face data is not shared with advertisers, analytics companies, or additional third parties.
