Footprint – Carbon Footprint

Footprint helps you understand and reduce your carbon footprint by turning your everyday activity into clear numbers you can act on. It combines automatic journey tracking, simple energy and consumption logging, and smart camera analysis to show where your emissions come from.

Use Footprint to detect journeys with your phone’s location, estimate transport emissions and see them on a map and in charts over time. Scan receipts, barcodes or items with your camera to estimate the footprint of what you buy, and log energy use and other activities in a single place.

What you can do with Footprint:
– Automatically detect journeys using your device’s location and estimate transport emissions.
– See trips on a map, with distance, mode and carbon per journey.
– Track other emissions from food, products and energy use.
– Scan receipts or items with your camera to detect line items and estimate their footprint.
– View charts, trends and simple summaries of your total emissions.
– Set annual carbon targets and see how you’re tracking against them.
– Join groups and compare aggregated footprints on leaderboards (if you choose to use social features).
– Receive optional digest notifications with gentle, data-driven reminders.


Privacy and data
Footprint is built to respect your privacy. We don't sell your data or use third‑party advertising SDKs. Location is only used to detect journeys and estimate emissions. Camera access is only used when you choose to take a photo or scan a receipt or item. Images are processed securely via our backend services to detect items and estimate emissions, and we store only derived results, not the original photos. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the app.
