App Description

Three months ago you had the best ramen of your life at a tiny shop on a side street. You took a photo. It's somewhere in your camera roll — buried under 4,000 other pictures. You can't remember the restaurant name or even which neighborhood it was in. That meal is gone.

YumPal makes sure that never happens again.

A FOOD JOURNAL THAT THINKS IN PHOTOS, NOT CALORIES

YumPal is a visual food journal. You snap a photo of what you eat, and it becomes part of your personal Timeline of Tastes — organized by date, tagged by meal, pinned to the place where you ate it.

No calorie counting. No macros. No nutritional databases. No food guilt.

Just beautiful photos of meals you want to remember, organized in a way that makes them easy to find again.

WHY NO CALORIE COUNTING

Because for many people, calorie tracking does more harm than good. It triggers anxiety, encourages obsessive behavior, and turns eating — one of life's genuine pleasures — into a math problem. Research increasingly shows that mindful eating (paying attention to what you eat and how it makes you feel) is more sustainable than number-crunching for long-term health.

YumPal is designed around that philosophy. Log what you eat with a photo. Add a note about how it tasted or how you felt. Over time, you build awareness of your eating patterns without the stress of counting.

SMART LOGGING WITHOUT THE WORK

YumPal automatically detects meal times (breakfast, lunch, dinner) based on when you log. It reads GPS data from your photos to identify where you ate. Batch-import hundreds of food photos from your camera roll at once — the app sorts them by date and location automatically.

Add mood tags, custom labels, and personal notes to any entry. Build a searchable archive of every meaningful meal.

WHIM OF FATE

Can't decide what to eat? Tap the dice. YumPal randomly surfaces a past favorite — a meal you loved but forgot about. It's a fun way to rediscover your own food history and break out of the "what should we eat tonight" loop.

TIMELINE OF TASTES

Scroll through your food history as a beautiful visual timeline. Every meal is a photo card with date, location, tags, and notes. Tap any entry to see it full-screen with all its details. Swipe through weeks and months of meals and notice patterns — seasonal favorites, comfort food cycles, or that stretch where you ate takeout every night.
