App Description

Act Natural is a daily practice app for actors — a gym, not a school. No course to sit
through. Exercises, real texts, and the tools you actually use before an audition or on a
Tuesday night with nothing booked.

Actors train hard at drama school, then spend most of a career training alone. Between jobs
there is no class, no scene partner, and no structure - and the work that keeps you sharp is
exactly the work that stops happening when nobody schedules it. This gives it a shape.

WORK ON YOUR CRAFT
• 79 exercises across nine crafts: voice & speech, body & movement, emotional access,
imagination & character, scene analysis, listening & reaction, improvisation, cold reading,
and memorisation
• Timed, step-by-step instructions with a voice guide, so a session can be done hands-free
with your eyes shut
• Say how many minutes you have and get a session that fits
• Six warm-up routines that auto-advance: pre-audition, daily, voice, body, emotional prep
• A suggestion each day, and a surprise button for the ones you keep avoiding

REAL TEXTS, IN FULL
• 53 public-domain monologues, complete - Shakespeare, Chekhov, Ibsen, Wilde, Shaw, Molière,
Strindberg, and Greek tragedy
• 18 public-domain scenes with the full dialogue
• Pick your part and let the app read the other one aloud
• 40 tongue twisters across three levels
• 8 accent and dialect references with practice passages
• 10 plain-English technique explainers: Stanislavski, Meisner, Adler, Hagen, Chubbuck,
Practical Aesthetics and more

THE JOB YOU ARE PREPPING
• Import a script by PDF, photo, or paste
• Highlight your lines, mark beats, annotate
• Cue mode listens for the end of your line and moves the scene on, hands-free
• Progressive line hiding and first-letter mode for learning lines
• Analysis worksheets built on Shurtleff's 12 Guideposts, Hagen's Nine Questions, Chubbuck's
12 Steps, and Practical Aesthetics
• Character worksheets for backstory, relationships, and given circumstances

YOUR OWN MATERIAL
• Add your own monologues by typing or dictating them, then practise, record and favourite
them like anything built in

WATCH IT ADD UP
• A calendar showing every day you practised
• Current and longest streak, and a weekly goal
• Total hours, sessions, and a breakdown by craft
• A reflection journal saved to your history
• Record a take today a
