App Description

Measure your environment with two simple tools: Sound Level and Vibration Intensity.
This app gives you an easy way to visualize how loud or how shaky your surroundings are using the sensors already built into your iPhone.

Sound Meter (dBFS – Decibels Relative to Full Scale)
The sound meter displays audio intensity using dBFS, a digital audio scale used by iOS.
Unlike professional sound level meters that measure dB SPL, dBFS shows loudness relative to the maximum level the iPhone microphone can record.
0 dBFS = the loudest sound the microphone can capture
Lower values indicate quieter sounds
The app converts this into a 0–100 loudness scale for easy reading
This makes the app great for comparing loud vs. quiet environments, visualizing noise changes, or checking how loud your voice or music is relative to your device’s limits.

Vibration Meter (Gravity‑Filtered Acceleration)
The vibration meter uses the iPhone’s accelerometer to measure movement intensity.
A high‑pass filter removes gravity, so the reading reflects only real vibration, not the constant 1 g of Earth’s pull.
Shows vibration strength in real time
Tracks the peak vibration during each measurement session
Perfect for testing surface vibrations, device movement, or general motion sensitivity

Peak Tracking
Both modes include a Peak Value display that shows the highest sound or vibration level detected between Start and Stop.

This app does not measure calibrated dB SPL (Sound Pressure Level). iOS does not provide microphone calibration data, so the sound readings are relative, not absolute.
