App Description
3DScan turns your iPhone or iPad into a powerful 3D scanner – for rooms, objects, and everything in between. Whether you're planning furniture, need a model for 3D printing, or want to digitize your home: 3DScan offers several capture methods, real post-processing, and export to all common 3D formats.
SCAN METHODS FOR EVERY DEVICE
• LiDAR scan (room & object) – highest precision on iPhone Pro and iPad Pro models with a LiDAR sensor
• Photo scan (photogrammetry) – creates 3D models from multiple photos, even without LiDAR
• SloMo video scan – simply circle the object with the slow-motion camera, no LiDAR needed
• Room detection – automatically detects walls, windows, and doors and displays them in color
For devices without LiDAR, the built-in QR marker calibration makes sure your models are still scaled to their real size.
POST-PROCESSING RIGHT IN THE APP
• Find holes in the model, review them in a list sorted by size, and close them selectively – an arrow shows you the exact position in the 3D model
• Red pen to remove unwanted areas
• Selectively hide colors from the scan (e.g. background or tabletop)
• Axis system, wireframe view, statistics, and adjustable lighting in the integrated 3D viewer
EXPORT IN ALL COMMON FORMATS
Free: STL, OBJ, and USDZ – ready for 3D printing, AR preview, or further processing in CAD programs.
Optional one-time purchase: STEP and PLY for professional CAD workflows.
FOR SMART HOME USERS
Scan a room and then mark the position of your devices directly in the 3D model – ideal for a true 3D floor plan in your Home Assistant dashboard.
MULTILINGUAL & CROSS-PLATFORM
3DScan is available in German, English, Spanish, French, and Arabic and runs on iPhone/iPad as well as on the Mac (photogrammetry).
3DScan is free to use. Individual extra features (e.g. STEP/PLY export or more than 3 ignored colors per object) are available as a one-time purchase per object – no subscription, no obligation.
