App Description
Banking apps tells you what you spent. ThenAllocate asks what it meant.
Every transaction gets two layers: a category you define (Joy, Sustenance, Growth, your words, not theirs) and an alignment tag that captures whether you meant to spend it. After a week, you see one number: your Agency Ratio, the percentage of your money you directed with intention.
HOW IT WORKS
ALLOCATE: Transactions flow in from your bank. You tag each one with a category and an alignment. Aligned (intentional), Reserve (future-facing), Leak (drifted), or Overhead (necessary cost of living).
REFLECT: At the end of each week, see your Agency Ratio. How much of what you spent actually meant something to you?
DISCOVER: Watch patterns emerge. Weekly trends, category shifts, spending heatmaps. The data tells a story your bank statement never could.
WHY THENALLOCATE IS DIFFERENT
This is not a budget app. There are no envelopes, no limits, no red warnings when you spend too much. ThenAllocate starts with what already happened and asks you to make meaning of it, the same way a journal works, but for money.
Your banking app puts every restaurant in "Dining." ThenAllocate lets you see that a $85 anniversary dinner was Joy and a $12 drive-through you don't remember was Leak. Same category. Completely different intention.
PRIVACY ARCHITECTURE
Your financial data passes through our server but never stays there. Transactions route from your bank through Plaid, touch our relay server only long enough to reach your device, and are stored locally on your phone. Tags, notes, categories, and reflections never leave your device at all.
No account required. No data harvested. No server-side copy of your financial life.

THE GOAL IS NOT RESTRICTION. IT IS CLARITY.
Budgets tell you what you should do. ThenAllocate shows you what you did and asks whether
