How It Works
Atomic Presence utilizes a multi-layered cryptographic approach to ensure that any attempt to edit, delete, or splice your media is mathematically detectable.

Cryptographic Hash Chain: The app generates a real-time SHA-256 hash sequence, updated at high frequency and encoded into dynamic QR codes. By capturing these codes in a recording, you create a continuous "digital heartbeat" that breaks if even a single frame is altered.

On-Device Digital Signatures: Using the Curve25519 algorithm via Apple's CryptoKit, the app signs your session data locally. This creates non-repudiable proof of origin tied specifically to your device.

Audio Watermarking (FSK): In Witness Mode, the app embeds near-ultrasonic (18kHz/19kHz) frequency-shift keying signals into your audio. This forensic watermark persists even if the audio is separated from the video.

Built-in Forensic Verifier: Verify your Level 2 and Level 3 recordings directly within the app, or import external videos that captured your Level 1 QR display. The app uses the Vision framework to extract QR codes frame-by-frame, re-calculate the hash chain, and verify signatures to provide a detailed integrity report.
