Sacred Time - Prayer Timer

Set your phone down and pray. Sacred Time keeps the hour so you can keep watch.

Choose a prayer by its painting. Each devotion is paired with a public-domain masterwork by Murillo, Caravaggio, Velázquez, Rembrandt, Zurbarán, La Tour, Millet and others. Touch Begin. The screen grows quiet: only the painting, a thin gold ring and the time. When your prayer is complete, the painting comes into full light and a bell calls you back. Say Amen.

TWELVE PRAYERS
• Holy Rosary, with the mysteries of the day
• Holy Hour, before the Blessed Sacrament
• Personal Prayer, for your own time
• Divine Mercy Chaplet
• The Angelus (the Regina Caeli in Eastertide)
• Morning Offering
• Rosary Decade
• Lectio Divina
• Liturgy of the Hours
• Examen
• Silent Meditation
• Night Prayer

Set any prayer’s length with − and +, or tap the minutes to choose. Sacred Time remembers it, and opens on the prayer you prayed last.

A BELL, NOT A BEEP
Seven recorded bells — small bells, bronze bells and a soft chime — or a touch upon the hand, or silence. A bell can strike once, call twice, or return until you say Amen. If you allow notifications, your chosen bell rings on the lock screen too.

THE WORDS, WHEN YOU NEED THEM
Without leaving your prayer, open the words for the Rosary and today’s mysteries, the Angelus, the Morning Offering, Night Prayer, the Examen and Lectio Divina.

A QUIET JOURNAL
Each prayer you finish is kept on your device. See the days you prayed this week and the hours you have given, with no streaks to lose.

GENTLE REMINDERS
A daily reminder at the time you choose, each day with a line of Scripture, and optional Angelus bells at 6 AM, noon and 6 PM.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No ads. No tracking. Your prayer stays on your device.
