App Description

Know every slope before you go.

WayAhead analyses walking and wheelchair routes for steepness, step-free access, and distance — then colour-codes them on the map so you can judge whether a route is safe and comfortable before you set out.

HOW IT WORKS
Plan a route by entering an address or long-pressing on the map. WayAhead analyses elevation every 5 metres along the path and paints each segment green (easy), yellow (challenging), or red (steep). You'll see total distance, maximum slope, elevation gain and loss, a colour-distance breakdown, and an overall success score — all at a glance.

PERSONALISED FOR YOU
During onboarding, tell WayAhead how you move — manual wheelchair, electric wheelchair, or walking — and how far you can travel without a rest. The app tailors slope thresholds and recommends pauses before steep or long sections so you can plan with confidence.

WHEELCHAIR-AWARE ROUTING
WayAhead uses dedicated wheelchair routing to avoid stairs, high kerbs, and impassable barriers. Need a completely step-free route? Toggle barrier-free mode and every obstacle is routed around automatically.
