Beef Grading

Beef Grading custom mobile application is for use by small capacity plants that harvest beef who would like beef grading services but are unable to afford it due to cost prohibition under the current in person grading model. The business goal is to deliver and maintain grade integrity to customers wanting a quality product they are willing to pay for. The mobile application will collect information such as geo-location and date-time information of the image from a device used by a non-USDA employee and store it in a secure system for data storage separate from the AMS Billing and Information (ABI) database to be evaluated by a L&P employee who is trained and licensed to grade the product. The images of beef carcasses will then be evaluated by L&P and provided a USDA grade based on factors evaluated from the images. The employee at the plant will be able to see the result in the mobile application and complete the process by identifying the carcass with a USDA Grade.
