App Description
Your reading life, beautifully tracked.
Readable is an independent reading companion for people who treat books as a craft. Track your sessions with a precision timer. Write reviews that other readers want to read. Keep a private journal that never leaves your device. Share as much or as little as you choose.
Built independently in Brisbane, Australia - by a reader, for readers.
THE TIMER
A reading timer that respects the work. Log start and end pages, track duration, recover from crashes, and let the app complete your book when you reach the final page. Every session feeds into your reading diary — a monthly timeline of everything you have finished, set aside, or returned to.
REVIEWS AND COMMUNITY
Rate on a half-star scale. Write reviews with titles, vibe tags, and attached photos or video. Read what other readers think. Like, reply, and pin your favourites to your profile. Reviews aggregate across editions, so the conversation follows the work, not the printing.
YOUR JOURNAL
A private space for the notes only you need to see. Stored on your device by default. Pro users can optionally sync their journal across devices — still private, still yours, just available everywhere you read. Write multiple entries per book, reference specific page ranges, and keep separate notes for each re-read.
LIBRARY AND SHELVES
Organise your books across custom shelves. Drag to reorder. Track owned formats — paperback, hardcover, Kindle, audiobook, ebook. Import your existing library from Goodreads or StoryGraph with a single CSV file.
BOOK CLUBS
Join clubs — public, private, or invite-only. Start discussions, vote in polls, and read together. Readable Pro lets you host your own. Follow readers whose taste you trust.
GOALS
Set reading goals by books finished, pages read, or time spent. Daily, weekly, monthly, or one-off. Progress is computed server-side, so the numbers stay honest.
DISCOVER
Search by title, author, or ISBN. Scan a barcode. Browse by mood. Buy from independent bookstores — Booktopia, Dymocks, Angus and Robertson, Bookshop.org, and more — with direct links.
INSIGHTS
Activity heatmaps, reading speed over time, personal bests, genre breakdowns, and 25 achievement badges across 50 reading levels. Your stats, presented without pressure.
FOR AUTHORS AND CREATORS
Verified authors can claim their works, share writing progress, host read-alongs, an
