App Description

If you've ever come back to your car on Beacon Hill and found a street-cleaning ticket tucked under your wiper, StreetSweep was made for you.

Built by a neighbor, for neighbors — StreetSweep is a free app that tracks block-by-block street-cleaning schedules so you always know when the sweeper is coming before it costs you $40. No subscriptions. No ads. Just a useful tool for the Hill.

Know Your Block at a Glance

The neighborhood map color-codes every street by cleaning urgency. Green means you're fine. Yellow means cleaning is coming. Red means move now. Stacked lines show odd- and even-side schedules independently, so you can read both sides of any block in a single look — no more guessing which side you parked on.

Alerts Before It's Too Late

StreetSweep sends three tiers of push notifications: the evening before a cleaning, one hour before it starts, and a final red-zone alert when time is nearly up. You choose which ones you want. No spam — just the nudges that keep a ticket off your windshield.

Driving Mode

Circling the block looking for a spot? Open Driving Mode for a smooth, heads-up map that follows your position. A live status card at the bottom shows the cleaning status for both sides of your current street in real time. A Live Activity on your Lock Screen keeps that info visible without even unlocking your phone.

Save Your Spot, Find Your Car

Tap once when you park and StreetSweep pins your location. When you're ready to head back, the My Car tab gives you walking directions straight to your car. Simple as that.

Help Your Neighbors — Spot Sharing (Beta)

When you pull out of a spot, StreetSweep can quietly alert nearby neighbors so they can grab it before someone else does. Spot Sharing is brand new and still in beta — it works, but bugs happen. Please test it, report what you find, and help make it better for the whole neighborhood. Every report goes directly to the person who built this thing.

Posted Signs and Occupancy Permits

See a temporary No Parking sign go up on your block? Add it to the map so your neighbors know before they park there. Anyone on the Hill can flag signs and permits — and everyone benefits.

Widgets and Snow Emergencies

A Home Screen widget and a Lock Screen widget both show your next cleaning time at a glance, no app-opening required. When Boston declares a snow emergency, those alerts overlay dire
