App Description
Every anxious flyer deserves a calm, steady companion β one that's already loaded and ready before the wheels leave the ground. Steady is the warm pocket co-pilot for fear of flying: a turbulence forecast built from real NOAA data, a caring community that watches over your flight live, and instant calm tools that work fully offline at 30,000 feet.
THE TURBULENCE FORECAST
Type your flight number or route, pick your departure date, and Steady pulls live pilot reports (PIREPs) and SIGMET advisories from the NOAA Aviation Weather Center within 100 nautical miles of your flight path. It blends them with seasonal jet-stream patterns and the typical character of your route β climb, cruise, descent β into a calm, honest preview: an overall smoothness score, a confidence percentage, a segment-by-segment breakdown, and a timeline chart. If a flight number maps to the wrong route, fix it with one tap. No drama. No surprises. Just gentle, prepared knowing.
NEVER FLY ALONE β MONITORBUDDY
Fear of flying shrinks when someone's watching over you. Post your flight to MonitorBuddy and a community of fellow nervous flyers will follow it live on the radar, sending encouragement while you're in the air. Watch over someone else's flight tonight β and land to find kind words waiting for you.
INSTANT CALM, FULLY OFFLINE
Every sound, voice, and screen is pre-loaded on your device. Airplane mode is completely fine. When anxiety spikes mid-flight, one tap on the SOS button launches guided 4-4-4-4 box breathing with a soothing, unhurried voice. The 5-4-3-2-1 grounding exercise anchors your racing mind back to the present with soft haptics and glowing constellations.
UNDERSTAND THE FEAR AWAY
Not sure why a heavy metal tube stays in the air? Jello Plane shows you, simply and beautifully, how air itself holds the plane aloft. What's That Sound? explains every cabin noise β engine hum, the seatbelt ding, landing gear locking in. The unknown is what frightens us; knowledge brings calm. And when you need your mind somewhere else entirely, the distraction arcade (Subtract by 7, Color Match) occupies exactly the part of your brain that fuels anxiety spirals.
CELEBRATE EVERY LANDING
After every flight, Steady generates a vintage-style Bravery Boarding Pass β a shareable keepsake celebrating what you just did. Track live flight progress, keep a history of every flight you've c
