App Description

Autism Self-Test
===============

A free, private screening tool informed by DSM-5 criteria for autism spectrum disorder. Designed for parents, carers, and adults seeking a quick personal summary — without the wait, the cost, or the paperwork.

What it does
------------

Answer a short series of questions across the seven DSM-5 dimensions covering social communication, behavioural patterns, and developmental criteria. The app calculates a category-by-category summary so you can see where the patterns are strongest, and gives you the option to email the full results to yourself for a future conversation with a clinician.

Who it's for
------------

Parents and carers wondering whether to seek a formal evaluation
Adults who suspect they may be on the spectrum and want a starting point
Educators and support workers building a clearer picture before referral

What you get
------------

A guided self-report screening based on DSM-5 dimensions A1–A3, B1–B4, and criteria C–E
A clear, dimension-by-dimension result summary
A private email of your full results, with the option to subscribe to follow-up resources
No login, no account, no ads
Works offline once installed (results submission requires internet)

Important — please read
-----------------------

This is a self-report screening tool, not a diagnostic instrument. Results provide guidance only. They are not a substitute for assessment by a qualified clinician, paediatrician, or psychologist. If your results suggest further investigation may be helpful, we strongly encourage you to speak with a healthcare professional.

By a parent or carer? The same screening works for an evaluation of your child. Use language that fits your situation when answering.
