App Description

Snap a photo of any home repair problem and FixMynd's AI tells you what's wrong, what tools you'll need, what it'll cost, and whether to DIY or call a pro.

Built for first-time homebuyers who can't tell plumbing from drywall. FixMynd does the categorization for you, then writes a step-by-step fix plan in plain English — or, when it's a job for a licensed contractor, the verbatim paragraph you can text or read aloud to a plumber, electrician, or HVAC tech.

WHAT FIXMYND DOES

• Photo to diagnosis in seconds. Take a photo (or pick one from your library), add an optional one-line note about what's happening, and tap Analyze. A purpose-built AI prompt classifies the issue and writes a structured fix report.

• 10 home repair categories covered. Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, appliances, roofing, water damage and mold, pests, flooring, and doors & windows. Each category uses its own diagnostic approach — not a generic "what's wrong with this photo" question.

• Honest DIY vs. pro recommendation. Every report opens with a clear badge — Easy DIY (green), Intermediate (yellow), Advanced (orange), or Call a Pro (red). FixMynd doesn't default to "call a pro" out of politeness, and it doesn't pretend a panel-replacement job is a weekend project.

• What to tell the contractor. When the report says Call a Pro, FixMynd writes a verbatim copy-paste-ready paragraph you can send to your plumber, electrician, or HVAC tech. Suspected component, observable symptoms, when it started, what tests they should run on arrival. The contractor walks in already knowing what to look at.

• Step-by-step DIY plans. For repairs you can handle, FixMynd lays out the materials and tools (with rough costs), the steps in order, the safety warnings to watch for, and an optimized YouTube search query that opens a beginner-friendly homeowner repair video in one tap.

• History, search, filter. Every diagnosis is saved with the photo, report, and timestamp. Search by description, filter by category or DIY-vs-pro badge, mark whether you actually fixed it.

• Re-analyze if the category looks wrong. If the AI thinks your sink leak is an electrical issue, one tap re-runs the diagnosis with the correct category locked in.
