App Description

Dicom Vault — DICOM Viewer for iPhone & iPad

A fast, modern DICOM viewer designed for medical students, residents, researchers, and clinicians who need to review imaging studies on the go. Open studies you received from a hospital, a colleague, or your own archive — and explore them with the tools you'd expect from a desktop workstation, on the device you already carry.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Open DICOM files, full studies, DICOMDIR folders, and ZIP archives
• GPU-accelerated rendering with smooth multi-frame cine playback
• Adjust Window/Level with one finger, or pick from modality-aware presets (CT, MR, PT, CR, DX, US, NM, and more)
• Measure distances and angles with pixel-spacing-aware units
• Annotate images freehand for teaching and case discussion
• Read every DICOM tag in the Series Info panel
• Compare series with multi-pane layouts
• Read intensity values under your finger (HU for CT, SUV for PT)
• Apply clinical color palettes for PET and nuclear medicine studies
• Transform images — invert, flip, rotate
• Organize studies into folders for quick recall
• Share images, or export an entire study as a DICOM archive with optional on-device anonymization
• Built-in brightness guidance to keep your display in a sensible viewing range

PRIVACY BY DESIGN

Your studies never leave your device. Dicom Vault performs no cloud upload, no analytics on image content, and no third-party sharing of patient data. Anonymization, when used, runs entirely on-device before any file is shared.

IMPORTANT — NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE

Dicom Vault is intended for educational, research, and personal reference purposes only. It is not certified as a medical device under FDA, CE / EU MDR, UKCA, or any other regulatory framework, and must not be used as the sole basis for clinical diagnosis, treatment planning, or any patient-care decision. Always use a certified diagnostic workstation and qualified medical judgment for clinical work. By using Dicom Vault you accept these terms.

WHO IT'S FOR

• Medical students reviewing teaching cases
• Residents and fellows preparing for rounds or boards
• Researchers exploring imaging datasets
• Clinicians who want a quick second look at a study away from their workstation
• Patients who received their own imaging on disc or USB and want to view it
