Veil - Personal Photo Walls

Veil is a private photo curator for your iPhone lock screen.

It analyzes your photo library on device, finds images that work well as lock screen wallpapers, and maintains a dedicated Veil Daily album you can use with iOS Photo Shuffle.

Veil looks beyond whether a photo is simply beautiful. It scores composition, focus, lighting, visual clutter, wallpaper fit, portrait orientation, and whether important content conflicts with the lock screen time and date area.

What Veil does:

On-device photo analysis
Your photos stay on your iPhone. Veil uses Apple’s local vision and image processing frameworks to analyze images without uploading them to a server.

A dedicated lock screen album
Veil creates and maintains a Veil Daily album in Photos. Choose that album in iOS Photo Shuffle to rotate through curated wallpapers.

Lock screen-aware scoring
Veil checks whether a photo is clean, readable, well-composed, sharp, and suitable for the lock screen.

Personal controls
Adjust album size, quality threshold, scan range, portrait preference, people filters, and scene categories to shape the results.

Preview and manage picks
See why a photo was selected, remove recommendations you do not want, and keep them out of future refreshes.

Automatic refresh
When enabled, Veil checks for new photos and keeps your lock screen album updated when iOS allows background work.

Privacy first
No photo uploads. No tracking. No third-party analytics. Veil only asks for photo library access so it can analyze your local library and maintain the Veil Daily album.
