Cor ad Cor

"Cor ad cor loquitur" — heart speaks to heart. Saint John Henry Newman's motto names what Cor ad Cor is for: an unhurried, honest conversation with your own soul. Augustine wrote that our hearts are restless until they rest in God. This is a way of listening to that restlessness.

Cor ad Cor is a Catholic personality and interior-life reading. You answer a long, careful assessment — about 50 minutes, roughly 407 questions across eight sections — and receive a written Soul Profile that reads you back to yourself in the language of the faith.

It reads your temperament, your loves and attachments, the "household" of your interior life, your childhood, your body, and your way of mind — each anchored to Scripture and to the saints who mapped this territory before you: Augustine, Aquinas, Teresa of Ávila, Ignatius, Francis de Sales. You may find yourself named as The Pilgrim Heart, The Hidden Scholar, The Steady Anchor, or another of the soul's old patterns.

HOW IT IS MADE

Every word of your reading is hand-written and drawn from the Catholic intellectual and spiritual tradition, then chosen by your own answers. The assessment itself rests on well-established, validated instruments drawn from research on personality, attachment, values, mood, and wellbeing — read through the wisdom of the Church. It is the work of human authors, not of a machine; nothing is composed on the fly.

FREE, AND THE FULL READING

A short reading — your temperament and a preview — is free. The complete Soul Profile is a one-time purchase of $29: nine full sections, PDF export, and the option to send it to a spiritual director. No subscription, ever.

AN HONEST WORD

Cor ad Cor is for adults. It is a work of reflection, not diagnosis or treatment, and it does not replace the sacraments, a confessor, spiritual direction, or clinical care. Some questions touch on mood, anxiety, and past distress; crisis resources — including the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and Crisis Text Line — are always available, free, and never behind the paywall.
