App Description

Paper Reverie is a contemplative practice held by candlelight. Seventy painted figures arrive at the half-light, one a day, or three across a single held question.

Every figure is an original work, made over twenty years of quiet study. The voice that meets each figure was written for the same kind of hour. There is no horoscope here, no system telling you what to do — the lights visit, they do not predict. They show, they are heard, they are held.

::The daily light::
One painted figure arrives each morning. Three small beats, What is Shown, What is Heard, What is Held — and one Meaning, the chord they make together. A note can be kept underneath. The figure stays the same all day; you return when you want to.

::A reading of three::
When a question is in the room, three figures arrive together: Behind you, Beside you, Before you. The same beats, three angles on the same hour.

::The diary::
Every reading, every kept note, is held quietly on your device. iCloud carries it privately to your other Apple devices. There is no Paper Reverie account, no login, no remote server. Nothing leaves your hand.

::The library::
All seventy figures live in an illustrated library, organized by suit, the Candle, the Lantern, the Hearth, the Star, with the Sunrise, a small set of Major lights, set apart. Each entry is a long sit with the figure: the painting, the three beats, the meaning, and every time that figure has visited you before.

::A pattern linger::
Paper Reverie notices, over time, when a question keeps returning, when a room keeps appearing. The observation is gentle, a small note above the daily card, an honest naming, never a verdict.

::The Sunday Weekly Read::
Sunday mornings bring a longer sit: a single figure that holds the past week, written specifically for the week that has just been.

::Made for the quieter hours::
No streaks. No reminders unless you set them. No analytics, no third-party tracking. The practice is yours, the app stays out of the way.

Paper Reverie is a reflective practice. It is not medical advice, not psychological counsel, and not a substitute for human company.
