HOW THE SCANNER WORKS
CDLens runs a three-tier cascade so it works on the messiest cases too:
1. Barcode read - on-device EAN-13 / UPC-A scan reads the barcode strip on the rear inlay and pulls the exact release
2. Cover or disc match - if no barcode is visible (front cover, digipak, loose disc), AI vision identifies the release from artwork or label print
3. Catalog cascade - backend scores candidates by catalog number, artist + title, label, and year proximity to lock the right CD release
