FernsBook is a focused fern species and care reference for indoor growers, shade gardeners, and collectors. No account, no sign-in, no sync.
WHAT YOU GET
- A curated library of 37 fern species across four collections: Indoor, Garden, Native, and Specialist
- Eleven care panels per species: identification, native range, light, water, humidity, soil, best use, watch out, companions, similar ferns, and propagation, plus a curator note
- A difficulty read on every fern, from Beginner to Expert
- Search across every species field, with collection filter chips
- Private notes on your own ferns, stored on your iPhone
- A fern coach you can ask practical growing questions, with your current species' guide entry attached so the answer stays specific
FREE, AND STAYING FREE
The whole guide, all 37 species, search, and writing and reading your notes are free and need no account. So is the offline care fallback: if the coach cannot be reached, FernsBook assembles an answer from that species' own entry. Free accounts can ask the fern coach three times a day.
FERNSBOOK PRO
Pro adds exactly three things:
- Ask the fern coach as often as you like, instead of stopping after three asks a day
- Keep a dated watering, misting, feeding, and repotting log on every fern you own
- Export your fern notes and the whole care log as a plain-text file you keep
Nothing that is free today becomes paid, and nothing you have already written is removed or locked if you stay on the free plan.
FernsBook Pro is US$4.99 per month or US$19.99 per year; prices vary by storefront and are shown in your local currency before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings.
PRIVACY
Your notes and your care log stay on your device. There is no account and no sync. The only thing that leaves your iPhone is the text of a coach question and the species it is about, sent so an answer can be generated and returned. No ad SDKs, no analytics SDKs, no trackers.
