Loci turns the real world into a map of hexagonal cells. Walk anywhere — your commute, a lunch break, a weekend hike — and every cell you pass through lights up, heat-map style. The more time you spend somewhere, the deeper its color burns, through 60 levels from pale lemon to deep crimson.

PAINT THE MAP — FOR REAL

Photos in Loci can only be taken with the in-app camera, at the place itself. Take a photo, and it fills your hexagon on the map — the world becomes a canvas painted square by square by people who actually stood there. Be the first to paint a cell and you're its First Painter, credited forever.

YOUR EXPLORATION DIARY

The calendar keeps every day: how many cells you lit, how far you walked, and a thumbnail of your route. Pick any date and revisit that day's wandering.

PRIVACY FIRST

• Your location is never shown to anyone else — only photos you deliberately publish
• Servers store only which ~66m cells you visited, never precise coordinates
• All photo metadata (including GPS) is stripped before display
• Automated content screening, in-app reporting and blocking
• Sign in with Apple; delete your account and your data anytime, in the app
