Test your vertical jump like a force plate, using only the camera on your phone.

Metric Jump turns your iPhone camera into a fully automatic vertical jump testing lab. No force plate, no jump mat, no wearable, no floor markers. Stand in frame, jump, and get instant, validated jump height, take off velocity, RSI, eccentric utilization ratio and symmetry scores.


FULLY AUTOMATIC, START TO FINISH
Most jump apps make you film in slow motion and mark the takeoff and landing frame by frame. Metric Jump does the work for you. It finds your body, detects each jump, and classifies the jump type in real time. Just jump and the app handles the rest.


EVERY JUMP TYPE, CLASSIFIED IN ONE TEST
Record different jumps in a single set and Metric Jump labels each rep on its own: countermovement jump (CMJ), paused squat jump, Abalakov (arm swing), and single-leg jumps (auto detects per side). Personal bests and progress stay organized by jump type. No manual tagging, no spreadsheets.


ACCURATE, AND HARD TO CHEAT
Metric Jump tracks your body and calculates jump height from your actual takeoff velocity, the same impulse-momentum method by lab-grade force plates. Because the number comes from the movement of your body, and not how long you hang in the air, you can't cheat the score by tucking your legs on landing the way you can on a jump mat or with flight-time based apps.


A FULL ATHLETE PROFILE FROM A FEW JUMPS
Metric Jump does more than print a number. Record the right jumps in one set and it calculates the comparison scores coaches actually use:
- Eccentric utilisation ratio (how well you use your stretch-shortening cycle)
- Arm-swing contribution (how much your arms add)
- Left-right symmetry (from single-leg jumps, great for return-to-play)
- Bilateral index (single-leg (L+R) versus two-leg output)
- One quick test, a complete performance profile.
