Loupe: Card Scanner & Value

What's it actually worth? Loupe answers honestly — or tells you it can't yet.

Most scanners throw a single confident number, and collectors have learned it's often wrong. Loupe is built the opposite way: it will not show you a value it can't back with real sales. Point your phone at a card and Loupe identifies the exact card and printing on-device. When a card has enough realized sales behind it, its value appears as a band — the low, median, and high of real sold prices — with the number of sales behind that band (n) and the time window. When it doesn't, Loupe says so — "Not enough sold data to price this honestly" — instead of inventing a price.

Sold-price coverage is young: today most cards show the honest "Pricing isn't available yet" state rather than a number. That is the whole idea — a real number with its receipts, or an honest "we're not sure yet." Never a fantasy figure.

IDENTIFY THE RIGHT CARD — INCLUDING THE RIGHT PRINTING
The expensive mistake isn't the character, it's the printing. Loupe reads the card on-device, reads the collector number and set code, and when it isn't certain it shows you the top matches and lets you pick the exact one — holo, reverse holo, or normal. Getting the variant right is the difference between a $4 card and a $400 one, so we'd rather ask than guess.
