App Description

A daily word game about where words actually come from.

You are shown an ancient root and its original meaning. You deduce the modern word it became. Four guesses; every miss reveals another clue: a sibling word in the other language, a riddle of the meaning's drift, then the word's shape.

After every solve, the story. Eighty words of real etymology: why salary was salt, why muscle was a mouse, why school was free time. Then your etymology tree grows, word by word, family by family.

TWO LANGUAGES, ONE STREAK
An English track and a German track, playable separately or together. Some days both languages share one root and you see the same ancestor split two ways.

CALM BY DESIGN
No timers. No failure shame. No punitive streaks. Fully playable offline. No ads, ever. No account, no tracking; your progress stays on your device.

Accessible end to end: VoiceOver on every element, Dynamic Type, an easier-reading font toggle, and share results that encode with shape as well as color.
