App Description

Portable solar panels aren't roof panels. The "just tilt it to 30°" advice is simply wrong when you're only charging for a few hours at a campsite. SolarPanelAngle finds the angle and direction that harvest the most energy for YOUR hours in the sun — then helps you physically aim the panel until it's right.

HOLD YOUR PHONE TO THE PANEL
- Lay your iPhone flat against the panel and it reads the real tilt and heading
- A two-axis target shows exactly how to adjust: "raise 8°, swing 12° right"
- Sound and haptics guide you when you can't see the screen — because your hands are on the panel, not the phone
- Turns green the moment it's aimed

OPTIMIZED FOR YOUR HOURS, NOT THE WHOLE YEAR
- Tell it how long you'll charge — it finds the single best fixed angle for that window
- Or track the sun right now for maximum instant output
- A daily power curve shows what each angle earns, and compares flat vs best-fixed vs tracking

A NUDGE WHEN IT'S TIME TO RE-TILT
- Portable setups drift as the sun moves — get reminded when to adjust
- "14:00 — set tilt to 55°", scheduled to your own rhythm
- A shade warning before a tree or ridge blocks your panel, and a pack-up heads-up before sunset

SEE THE SHADE COMING
- Scan the horizon around your site and it predicts when the sun drops behind obstacles
- "Effective sunlight 4.2 h (10:40–14:50)" — save each campsite and reuse it

FULLY OFFLINE — BUILT FOR THE BACKCOUNTRY
- The sun is computed on your device from date and location. No internet, ever
- Temperature loss is built in, so summer estimates match reality
- One-time purchase. No subscription, no ads, no account. Nothing leaves your phone

SolarPanelAngle is a planning aid. Estimates assume clear sky; real output varies with clouds, temperature, shade and panel condition. Never stare at the sun or point the camera at it for long.
