SchoolCompass HK (校園羅盤) helps Hong Kong families explore schools using clear, checkable information—official open data, commute practicality, and nearby public facilities—without opaque rankings or admission “probability” scores.

• Browse and search schools with a Hong Kong–first Traditional Chinese interface
• View school profiles with transparent source labels (official open data vs family notes vs clearly marked demo records)
• Shortlist schools and compare them side by side (type, commute factors, facilities—not a hidden overall score)
• Use an admission planner checklist for family application prep
• Optionally look up nearby schools using an approximate district origin (not a full home address by default)
• Keep shortlists, comparison lists, family notes and planner tasks on this device

DATA TRANSPARENCY
• We separate official open data, your private family notes, and demo/sample records
• Demo schools are labelled so you can test features without treating them as real facts
• Nearby school lookup can use DATA.GOV.HK open data where available
• This app is not affiliated with the Education Bureau or the HKSAR Government

PRIVACY-MINDED BY DESIGN
• Shortlist, notes and planner data stay on your device
• Approximate location is used only when you choose nearby-school lookup
