Cartridge Hours: Vinyl Stylus

Cartridge Hours is a focused, private way to know exactly how many hours are on every stylus and cartridge in your setup — and when each one is approaching the lifespan you expect from it.

An active subscription is required to use Cartridge Hours. Eligible new subscribers can try every feature free for one week.

Start the timer when the needle drops. Stop it when you’re done. Every minute is counted on the correct stylus, giving you a clear and dependable record of your listening time.

PRECISE LISTENING TIMER

Track listening with a wall-clock timer designed to remain accurate when the app is in the background.

While a session is running, a Live Activity displays the active stylus and elapsed time on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. You can also start and stop listening hands-free with Siri or the Shortcuts app.

YOUR WHOLE SETUP, ORGANIZED

Organize your equipment naturally:

Turntable → Tonearm → Cartridge → Stylus

Track multiple turntables, cartridges, and replacement styli, each with its own accumulated listening time and history. Simple setups stay simple, while more detailed systems remain easy to manage.

KNOW WHEN TO LOOK CLOSER

Enter the manufacturer’s rated lifespan for a stylus and Cartridge Hours shows how much of that expected life you have used.

Clear usage milestones and optional reminders help you know when it may be time to inspect, maintain, or replace a stylus.

You provide the expected lifespan; Cartridge Hours reports elapsed usage. It does not diagnose stylus condition or guarantee remaining life.

EVERYTHING REMEMBERED

Record cleaning, alignment, stylus changes, cartridge changes, and other maintenance.

Review your listening activity over time and preserve a complete history for every stylus you have owned.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
