App Description
Learn one interesting thing a day. Then it comes back, so you actually keep it.
HOW A DAY LOOKS
Morning. A notification arrives at a time you pick. An idiom you've heard a hundred times but never said out loud, or a word you use every day without knowing where its name comes from. Twenty seconds, then you get on with your day.
Daytime. A widget on your home or lock screen shows today's term and keeps the answer back. You see it every time you pick up the phone, and remembering it is the practice. Tap to see the answer, tap again to hide it.
Later. Tap Check me later and the word waits on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Three hours on, it asks what it means.
Evening. One question: still remember this? Yes or no, answered right from the notification.
Night. On the charger in StandBy, a widget counts down to tomorrow's card.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THAT
Say yes and it comes back in three days, then a week, then two, then a month. Say no and it returns sooner, with the meaning spelled out again. Nothing is punished: forgetting just tells the app what to do next.
Months later this adds up to something you can look at: how many are still with you. Your collection marks what is fresh, what is warm, what is cooling, and what is worth another look.
WHAT IS IN IT
Get a daily mix of things worth knowing, drawn from all our topics. Or pick the topics yourself with Learn Daily+, and change your selection whenever you like.
Learn the expressions you recognise but never use. Find the exact word instead of the approximate one. Understand the world around you, from the things you use every day to the way people think and behave. Nothing is generated on the fly, and everything ships with the app: it works with no signal, on a plane, in a lift.
If today's thing taught you nothing, mark it known and another takes its place: once a week on the free plan, any day with Learn Daily+.
THINGS OF YOUR OWN
Write your own cards, like a phrase from a meeting or a word from a book, and they join the same evening checks as everything else. Ten of them on the free plan, as many as you like with Learn Daily+.
ON IPHONE DUO
Closed, it shows today's card; open the phone and the card turns over. Held like a book, it reads as a two-page spread. Stood on a desk, the words rise to the top half, and at night it is a quiet clock.
