App Description
Study for your FCC commercial radio operator license with a question bank that actually teaches you: all 2,860 official questions come with a plain-English explanation and a memory tip for the answer.
No account. No ads. No subscription. No internet connection required.
EVERY ANSWER EXPLAINED
A question bank on its own only tells you whether you guessed right. This app tells you why.
⢠Explanation ā why the correct answer is correct, and why the other three are not
⢠Written in plain English, not FCC legalese, so a first-time candidate can follow it
⢠Present in every mode: sequential study, random study, mock exam and mistake review
MEMORY TIPS THAT MAKE IT STICK
Each question also carries a memory tip ā a short hook, acronym or number pattern that ties the answer to something you already know. Instead of memorising 2,860 isolated facts, you pick up the handful of patterns the exam is actually built on.
PICK YOUR TARGET LICENSE
⢠MP ā Marine Radio Operator Permit (Element 1)
⢠PG/GROL ā General Radiotelephone Operator License (Elements 1 + 3)
⢠DO ā GMDSS Radio Operator's License (Elements 1 + 7)
⢠RG ā Restricted GMDSS Radio Operator's License (Elements 1 + 7R)
⢠DM ā GMDSS Radio Maintainer's License (Elements 1 + 3 + 9)
⢠DB ā GMDSS Radio Operator/Maintainer License (Elements 1 + 3 + 7 + 9)
⢠T ā Radiotelegraph Operator License (Elements 1 + 6, written elements only)
⢠Ship Radar Endorsement (Element 8, add-on)
Study only what your license actually requires. Every study mode runs inside that license's own element pool, so you never spend an evening on questions you will not be asked.
OFFICIAL PUBLIC-DOMAIN QUESTIONS
All 2,860 questions from the official FCC public commercial operator pools for Elements 1, 3, 6, 7, 7R, 8 and 9, current for 2026. Under 47 CFR § 13.215 these U.S. Government works are in the public domain. Every question keeps its original wording and its official answer key, and the 41 questions that depend on a printed figure ship with that figure included.
STUDY TOOLS
⢠Sequential study ā resumes at the first question you have not answered yet
⢠Random study ā shuffled questions, so you cannot pass by memorising positions
⢠Mock exam ā official element counts and per-element pass marks
⢠Mistake review ā wrong answers are saved automatically, and cleared once you get them righ
