App Description
Your pulse, read from your face. Everything else, in one tidy log.
FaceVital does two things well. It reads your heart rate through the front
camera — no strap, no watch, nothing to charge. And it keeps every other number
your doctor asks about in one place, on one timeline.
FACE SCAN — 40 SECONDS
Look at your phone in decent light and hold still. Each heartbeat changes the
colour of your skin by a fraction of a percent; the camera can see it even
though you cannot. From that pulse wave you get:
• Heart rate
• Heart rate variability (RMSSD and SDNN)
• Breathing rate
• A strain index, blended from your HRV and your own resting range
Every scan shows its signal quality, and a scan that was too dark or too shaky
is thrown away instead of shown to you as a number.
LOG WHAT THE CAMERA CANNOT SEE
Blood pressure, blood glucose, oxygen saturation, temperature and weight — typed
in a couple of taps or synced from Apple Health. Blood pressure readings are
classified on the ACC/AHA scale, with the context you would tell a doctor:
morning, after exercise, before a meal, on medication.
SEE THE PATTERN
• Charts over 7 days, 30 days, 90 days or a year
• Averages, highs, lows, and the change against the period before
• Where your readings landed across the blood-pressure bands
• Which time of day your numbers run highest
• Your face-scan heart rate and HRV over time
BRING SOMETHING TO YOUR APPOINTMENT
One tap turns any date range into a clean PDF — charts, averages and a full
table of readings — ready to print, email or hand over. CSV export too, so your
data is never trapped here.
REMINDERS THAT ACTUALLY HELP
A fixed time each day is the single biggest thing you can do for a useful blood
pressure log. Set as many reminders as you want, per metric, per weekday.
APPLE HEALTH, BOTH WAYS
Readings you add are written to Health. Readings from your cuff or meter are
read back in. Turn it off and nothing syncs.
PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION
Camera frames are analysed in memory and discarded immediately — no video or
photo is ever saved, and nothing is uploaded. There is no account, no server and
no analytics. Your readings live in a file on your phone.

WHAT FACEVITAL IS NOT
FaceVital is a general wellness app, not a medical device. It does not diagnose,
