App Description
History isn't just read. It's investigated.
PastRush puts real case files in your hands. Each investigation gives you labelled exhibits and asks you to do what historians and scientists do: put events in order, weigh one source against another, trace causes, and decide what the evidence can and cannot prove.
NEW IN 1.1: THE EXPLORER UPDATE
• Dive: fall from the Milky Way to Earth, zoom in through six satellite views of the real place, then travel back in time to an illustration of the moment.
• Album: every one of the 245 globe stories is a card to collect, from Common to Legendary. Rarity is a fixed game label for each card, not a measure of historical importance. Cards are earned by playing, never sold.
• Which Came First?: tap the older of two events. Dates that historians still debate are left out, so every round has one right answer.
• Where in the World?: drop a pin on a real map; the closer you are, the more points.
• A daily treasure chest, nine new badges and more sound and music.
12 INVESTIGATIONS
Six are free for everyone: the Rosetta Stone, Pompeii, the rock layers of the Grand Canyon, Ötzi the Iceman, continental drift and the Norse in Vinland. Six more come with Founder Lifetime, a one-time purchase: the Chicxulub impact, the Black Death, the history of printing, Stonehenge, the Antikythera mechanism and the last mammoths.
FIVE WAYS TO INVESTIGATE
• Chronology: rebuild the order of events, with BC/AD dates handled correctly
• Source comparison: what does each source support, and what does neither show?
• Cause and consequence: link causes to effects where the evidence supports it
• Time and place: match events to where and when they happened
• What can we conclude?: sort claims into supported and going too far
Every answer explains why, and links to the source behind it.
KNOW YOUR EVIDENCE
Every exhibit is labelled: made at the time, written later, scientific finding or modern reconstruction. Story pictures are AI-assisted illustrations and are marked as illustrations, never presented as photographs of real objects. Satellite imagery comes from Apple Maps.
TIME THREADS AND TRUE SCALE
Solved cases reveal 14 Time Threads that connect them by time, place, cause or way of knowing, each with what it cannot tell us. A true-scale time bar shows how far apart two events really are.
